It is hard for me to say but I am doing a "DIET". I have always been a person who did not believe in diets but my eating was really out of control I needed something to give me a kick start and break the bad habits I have.
After a LOT of research, I am doing South Beach and in some ways I can see that this could be a lifestyle change just as I used to do. It has involved me changing my eating habits quite drastically though.
I have just finished Phase 1 which is the most radical phase and not something I would have ever done in the past. I am down 3.2kg, but I think a lot of this is water.
The best thing about it, is that I am eating so much more vegetables!
For example: Morning I have a half cup of spinach with my egg.
Lunch I have about 3 cups of salad leaves (mostly Rocket) when in the past I would maybe have 1 cup on my wrap.
Dinner: Loaded with veges! Asparagus, Eggplant, Zuccini, Brocollini, Cucumber and much more. Probably at least 3 cups.
If you asked me 10 years ago I would never have believed I would eat so many veges and actually enjoy it!
Phase 2 starts today where I reintroduce fruit. I am so glad as I have had little energy to work out properly and an apple before my workout always helped in the past.
That apple is looking sooooo good!
